Transformers Power of the Primes Combiner Volcanicus
Well… It may have taken Hasbro a good few decades, but we finally got the Dinobot team together in all their G1-type glory! I wish they didn’t really force the combiner concept and just gave us individual Dinobots as Voyagers but I guess this is better than nothing.
In the Power of the Primes setting, the Dinobots can combine into Volcanicus (except for Slash).
Volcanicus is meant to be pretty strong, considering it’s a combination of the powerful Dinobots, but he still lacks any real brain power and functions purely on instinct.
Fully combined, Volcanicus stands roughly 10.75 inches tall.
There was originally a comic published a while back in 2004 by Metrodome that featured the Dinobots combining into a huge, ferocious “Beast” that went berserk and killed friend and foe alike, destroying the Decepticons and then setting his sights on the Autobots. The title was “The Beast Within” and it was released as a short comic packaged with the Transformers Season 2 Part 2 DVD set.
I think it’s cute that Slash can be placed atop of the big guy. There’s supposed to be a fan mode to put her in with the team, but I think I’ll pass, as I prefer her this way.
