Transformers Masterpiece MP-12T Tigertrack
Tigertrack here is based on the old Diaclone series yellow version of Sideswipe. The Masterpiece version was released in 2013 at the Tokyo Toy Show and then later at the TakaraTomy Mall (their online webshop).
Tigertrack comes with his Electron Pulse gun and his Lazer homing SAM launcher.
Tigertrack also comes with black jackhammers called “Screw drivers”.
Takara decided to let fans decide which sticker to use on Tigertrack, I couldn’t decide so I just left it blank. lol..
Comparison with Sideswipe (Lambor)
There’s a K.O. (Knock off, meaning bootleg) version of Tigertrack running around. The easiest way to tell if it’s original or not is to check the face of the figure. The KO has Sideswipe’s “squinting” eyes, while the original actual has Red Alert’s more neutral eyes.
Of course this is all moot if you can’t open the package and transform the Tigertrack figure into robot mode first before purchasing it. You’re best option is still to purchase this guy from a reputable seller.
