S.H. Figuarts Broly
Bandai previously released Broly in his Full Powered form, this figure features Broly in his base form, along with a swappable head for his Super Saiyan C-Type form.
Shock Collar is included. In the previous movie, Broly was outfitted with a control crown to keep him in line.
Broly was originally created for the movies, but Akira Toriyama decided to add this character to the main Dragon Ball universe saga and introduced some changes in his backstory, making him a tragic soul instead of the psychotic slaughter machine we saw previously in the movies. I wonder what role Broly will play down the line in the Dragon Ball Super saga?
Broly wears a pelt around his waist, in the movie, it’s shown it once belonged to his alien pet, Ba.
The set has alternate heads for Broly.
Wrath State, in this form, Broly is able to access the powers of Great Ape form of Saiyans but without transforming into Great Ape mode.
In Wrath State, Broly is easily able to dispatch Super Saiyan God mode Vegeta and quickly forces Goku to go into Super Saiyan Blue state.
The figure features a unique shoulder plate joint for his armor.
Broly in his Super Saiyan form. This is called Super Saiyan C-Type. This form supposedly follows a different type of evolution path from Goku and the others since it’s only available for the Legendary Super Saiyan.
Even in just this form, Broly is able to keep up with SSGSS Gogeta, their energy shots colliding and breaking the very fabric or reality.
As the Dragon Ball Super lore goes, the Legendary Super Saiyan only appears once every 1000 years.
Comparison with Full Powered Broly.
Legendary Super Saiyans are capable of growing in size when they achieve Full Powered form.
Overall, a decent figure. It’s a good thing they included the extra heads for this. It’s a shame that, just like the Full Powered version, this figure does not come with any effects parts. I guess at the end of the day, this figure is a bit superfluous if you already have the Full Powered version.
