Mini Action Voltes V Full Painting Edition ACG-HK 2024
Volt Crewzer
Piloted by Kenichi Gou, the leader of the Voltes team.
Note that the Crewzer does not feature any landing gears and Voltes’ face is exposed, so be careful not to “roll” the ship with Voltes’ face sticking out.
Volt Bomber
Piloted by Ippei Mine, a professional horseback rider and whip expert.
Same as with the Volt Crewzer, there are no landing gear attachments for the Bomber.
Volt Panzer
Piloted by Daijiro Gou. The second eldest Gou brother.
The Panzer features deployable claws.
Volt Frigate
Piloted by Hiyoshi Gou, the youngest Gou brother and inventive genius.
Volt Lander
Piloted by Megumi Oka, the only female pilot of the team and a trained shinobi.
Note that the wheels underneath the Lander do not actually roll.
V Together!!
Voltes V!
Created as Earth’s best hope of stopping the coming Boazanian Empire invasion, Voltes V is Earth’s most technologically advanced fighting machine.
The figure is a redeco of the previously mass-released Mini Action Voltes V from back in 2020 (I can’t believe it’s been four years already!). This time featuring a more cartoon-accurate shade of blue, with gold painted parts.
The new color scheme makes it almost similar to the original SOC Gx-31 Voltes V.
Mini Action Voltes stands roughly 6 inches tall.
“New” gold paint applications on the circle on Voltes’ chest, as well as the belt buckle and knees.
Thanks to the drop-down hip joints, Mini Action Voltes is very poseable.
I didn’t have time to dig out the Mini Action 02 Voltes from 4 years ago, but for reference, this is what the shade of blue on that figure looked like.
Chodenji String (Ultra Electro-magnetic Whips)!
To properly recreate the look, you’ll have to pick off Voltes’ belt pieces.
Voltes uses his twin belts to fiercely whip up its enemies.
Chodenji Goma (Ultra Electro-magnetic Tops)!
The set comes with twin tops for Voltes to equip onto his belts. Just simply plug the tops into the loops. No need to remove anything (unlike with the SOC Voltes V). The execution here is really hassle-free.
Overall, a really nice updated figure. I’m a sucker for show accuracy and this one certainly fits the bill much more than the previous release.
If give the choice I’d pick this release over the version 1.0 any day due to the colors. The big problem is, this set DOES NOT come with the Ten ku Ken (Laser Sword). It only comes with the Ultra Electro-magnetic whips and tops. So, you will have to get and keep both versions to have a complete set of accessories. Diabolical!
