Compatible Kaiser and G Thunder Gate
The boxes have the same front and height dimensions.
However, the G Thunder Gate’s box is about ¾ the thickness of the Compatible Kaiser’s box.

To prep the figure for combination, you’ll have to do a LOT of parts swapping, particularly on the G Thunder Gate.
You’ll also have to remove these pieces from Kaiser’s back to reveal the connection pegs.

G Compatible Kaiser
Born from the combination of the Compatible Kaiser and the G Thunder Gate, The G Compatible Kaiser’s Over Gate Engine is now fully completed and the Compatible Kaiser gains a tremendous increase in its power output, boosting its existing attacks, while unlocking its most powerful attack, the Over Kaiser Sword.
I really love how the chest piece shines when you leave the LED on.
G Compatible Kaiser stands roughly 12.5 inches tall and weighs 765 Grams.
The G Thunder Gate’s wings also span roughly 12 inches in combined mode.
FATAL FLAW ALERT!
While the connection between the units is somewhat passable, it’s not perfect. The G Thunder Gate connection will tend to come undone when you’re posing the figure (mostly due to the really short connection pegs). So I STRONGLY recommend removing the entire backpack, pose the figure, then return the G Thunder Gate to prevent accidents (I encountered one and it almost gave me a heart attack, good thing nothing was broken.. sheesh).
G COMPATIBLE KAISER’S ATTACKS
Over Beam –Similar to Compatible Kaiser’s Over Beam, a powerful burst of beam energy is fired from the jewel on Kaiser’s crown.
Shoulder Cannons – Cannons mounted on the G Thunder Gate are utilized by G Compatible Kaiser. Unfortunately, due to the bulky shoulder design on this figure, you can’t really lower the angle of the cannons past a certain point to make a proper 90-degree tilt unlike in the games.
Double Spiral Knuckle – Kaiser clasps both of its hands together to launch them both at the same time at the enemy.
The special “clasped hands” accessory is only available with the G Thunder Gate set. Getting the hands to pose together properly is going to be a pain, as the chest piece and gauntlet designs leaves little room for error when posing the hands together. It took me a long while to get everything right for this pose.
Kaiser Boomerang – the gold sections of G Compatible Kaiser’s shoulder and waist armor detach to form a throwable melee weapon.
Fire Dragon – an attack normally used by Kohta when he’s in his Fighter Roar form, the Fire Dragon attack becomes available for G Compatible Kaiser as well thanks to the completed Over Gate Engine. The Fire Dragon is formed from a pillar of fire summoned by the G Compatible Kaiser before being launched at an enemy as a flaming projectile. Too bad no effects parts were included to recreate this attack.
“Bar Nau Far Dragoo!”
Kaiser Burst – A more powerful version of Compatible Kaiser’s Kaiser Burst attack. The letters “BF” still appear when the beam is blasted towards an opponent.
Same as with Compatible Kaiser, to complete the look, you’ll have to open up the chest panel and reset it closer, just like in the game cut scenes.
As previously mentioned in the Compatible Kasier review, the LED is really bright.
Over Kaiser Sword – G Compatible Kaiser’s most devastating attack and finisher move.
To make things easier for oneself, just use the extra “sword-holding” fist included with Compatible Kaiser instead of the articulated hands to hold the sword. To equip the sword, just remove the pommel of the handle, slot the handle in and return the pommel.

Overall, a really impressive piece! I am so glad I went ahead and pre-ordered this. It looks really nice and easily stands out on a shelf. The ratchets on Compatible Kaiser give this toy a real solid feel.
My only real complaint here is the connection between Kaiser and the G Thunder Gate. It really should’ve designed better. The connection port is a bit on the short side so it doesn’t take much to knock it loose. Thankfully, it’s only an issue when you’re posing the figure and not when it’s left on a shelf. Just be VERY mindful of that when handling this figure.
That aside, I really love how cool this figure looks. After SRX, this guy is my favorite go-to character in the SRW OG games.
