Transformers Studio Series 86-26 Leader Class Swoop

Swoop’s accessories are packed behind the tray. Be careful not to toss them out.

The friendliest of all of the Dinobots (the rest are just rude jerks), Swoop is very good-natured and easy to get along with. As the only Dinobot that can fly, Swoop can spot Decepticons from miles ahead, making him perfect for scouting missions.

I really wish they went with black plastic for Swoop’s “heels”. The blue plastic makes these stick out like sore thumbs.

Swoop’s wing-mounted rocket launchers can be removed and used as his “firing” weapons in robot mode.

Too bad they can’t actually fire, but at least you can remove the rocket tips and plug some effects parts in to recreate “launching” visuals.

Swoop comes with two swords, one is actually meant for Grimlock.

Swoop’s sword can be mounted on his wings for storage.

Swoop’s wings span roughly 13 inches in length from end to end.

Swoop’s mouth can open in dino mode and you can actually peg effects parts in there too, similar to his Studio Series 86 dino buddies.

Lastly, you can also mount Swoop’s (and Grimlock’s) swords on his “backpack” in dinomode.

Overall, well… what more is there to say? Swoop was the last missing piece in completing what’s easily the most popular sub-team for the Autobots and Hasbro took its sweet time getting it done. If you’re not excited to get him, then chances are you didn’t get the other Dinobots, either.

Thankfully, Hasbro did the final Dinobot right. No real issues here, except for the use of blue plastic for his heels. Sigh… But, that aside. I am stoked to have this guy to wrap up the Dinobots in all their properly-scaled “CHUGS” glory.
