McFarlane Batman and Robin – Batman

After years of being a solo crime fighter, Batman is still adjusting to having a partner in his war on crime. Batman eventually learns to trust his proteges and face whatever comes their way as a team and as a family.

Since this figure was released a while back, McFarlane Toys was still rolling these figures out with plastic capes, instead of the cloth capes we now usually get.
Sigh… the cheap plastic material used for the cape really shows.
The sculptors did good work here. You can really make out George Clooney’s jawline and eyes underneath the cowl.

While not the best Batman (mostly thanks to the script), I think Clooney was a better fit visually than Keaton and Kilmer when in and out of the costume.

I really found the suit design a bit odd even back in the day as a kid, since it doesn’t show any pockets or capsules for Batman’s utility belt to store stuff.
Sigh… bat nipples. now McFarlane toys cares about screen accuracy..
For accessories, the set only comes with parts for the Mr. Freeze Build-A-Figure, and these ice effects parts, which don’t really fit well on Batman’s hands. I also don’t recall Batman getting his hands iced up like this?
Overall, pretty underwhelming. Batman doesn’t come with any real accessories. If it wasn’t for the fact that I needed this figure to pair up with the respective Batmobile, I would’ve probably never had picked this one up. I guess I was pretty lucky to come across this figure at the malls, since it’s been long sold out for most places locally. Suffice to say, I won’t be getting Robin and Batgirl from this wave.
