Transformers Missing Link 03 Bumble (Bumblebee)
The set comes with a sticker sheet featuring the early draft Autobot symbol design from the first release toy packaging.
One of the smaller and weaker Autobots, Bumblebee nonetheless shows great bravery when fighting the Decepticons despite his small stature. This little Autobot scout uses his diminutive size as an advantage to stealthily infiltrate enemy lines and report back to the Autobots.
Thanks to modern engineering, this Bumblebee figure is recreated with all-new joints for added articulation, all of which are reinforced with diecast metal.
Lots of poseability!
The rub sign decal is now located under his right foot.
For added detail, Missing Link Bumblebee also now comes with a brand-new laser pistol based on his weapon in the G1 cartoons.
The redesigned figure also now has a space in his left foot for weapon storage.
Alternately, Bumblebee’s pistol can be pegged onto his back.
Lol.. in a few years, we’ll probably see Takara engineers give us articulated fingers for Bumblebee just to match the image on the box?
Overall, I love it! The added joints add a lot of play value to the figure and the use of diecast for joints means we won’t be seeing any breakages soon (I hope). My only complaint here is that I wish they gave us a cartoon-accurate face to properly pair this up with Missing Link 02 cartoon design Convoy.
Personally, I feel this line is something Takara Tomy really should have done 10 years ago, when it would’ve been cheaper to produce. With the rising costs of production nowadays, I’m worried this line might get priced out before we get a proper robust roster of reissues.
