G.i. Joe Classified #125 Gnawgahyde with Pork Belly & Yobbo

Recruited by the Dreadnoks to join their ranks, Gnawgahyde is as obnoxious as they come. Smelly and anti-social to humans, this Australian expert tracker and game hunter likes to spend his time with his pet boar, Pork Belly, as well as his pet monkey, Yobbo. An expert marksman, this Dreadnok can hit any target using his sniper rifle or his bow and arrows.

In the DIC-era cartoons, Gnawgahyde was the only Dreadnok to appear in the new show. Like Metalhead, we never really get a sense of Gnawgahyde being a dangerous Cobra operative due to the direction of the more “kid-friendly” cartoon series. Sigh…
The figure sports some really interesting detail all over, plus the detailing on his vest is impressive as well.

Gnawgahyde’s hat is removable.
For weaponry, this methodical hunter comes ready for anything!
Gnawgahyde comes with a pair of flashbangs on his belt. Too bad they’re not removable.
Gnawgahyde comes with two knives, sheathed on his right lower leg and on the back of his belt.

Instead of a machette, the figure comes with a huge, wrist-mounted sword

“That’s not a knife; this is a knife!”
Bow and arrow.
The “laser pointer” on the bow can be removed and stowed on the backpack’s loop when not in use.
For bigger game, Gnawgahyde uses his sniper rifle!
The weapon can be disassembled and stored away in its case. This is the same gear we got with Low-Light.

Yobbo
It’s too bad there’s zero articulation on the little fella.
Not previously included with the vintage Gnawgahyde figure. Yobbo is a new addition to Gnawgahyde’s “family”.
Pork Belly
Gnawgahyde’s pet wild boar, this rambunctious animal is as mean and wild as it’s owner.
I really wonder if pigs have difficulty when someone puts nose rings on them?
Surprisingly, this add-on figure sports a LOT of articulation, it can even open its mouth!
G.i. Zoo….
Team Gnawgahyde!

Overall, a pretty impressive set. I’m really surprised by the amount of new tooling, as well as gear, that this fella comes with, especially considering he wasn’t one of the original Dreadnoks. The addition of the animals to this set was a really good choice and I love how the Hasbro Joe Classified team is doing all of this new stuff and giving fans a lot more back for their buck.

Gnawgahyde’s oddball codename on pre-orders was “Muttley and Pet” from the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
