Transformers Studio Series 86-31 Galvatron

I nearly had a panic attack when I noticed the chain didn’t have the Matrix of Leadership when I first opened the box, turns out the Matrix was packed in the paper baggie along with a part of the Particle Cannon. Whew….
Once known as the mighty Decepticon leader, Megatron, Galvatron retains the memories and lusts for power that his former self had. Now reborn in his new, more powerful body thanks to Unicron, Galvatron still pursues his mad ambition to rule the universe and crush all those who stand in his way.
The figure is a redeco of the War for Cybertron: Kingdom Leader Class Galvatron figure.

I gotta admit, the colors on this version are really, really nice! It’s the best Galvatron, hands down!

Previous versions of Kingdom Galvatron all had clear plastic for his Particle Cannon, the Studio Series version comes with a “solid” take on it instead.

Galvatron still comes with the Autobot Matrix of Leadership.
Lol… nothing like taking your enemy’s most prized possession and making it into a trophy you wear around your neck. Talk about gangsta’
Also same as before, Galvatron also comes with a twin pair of “Revenge” blasters.

Both blasters can be combined.

Revenge Blasters can be mounted onto his back when not in use.

The twin blasters and Autobot Matrix of Leadership can also be mounted on the cannon mode.

With the “Bad Comedy” backdrop

Overall, yeah, if you’re a fan of show accuracy, then better drop all the previous versions of this guy and grab this release! It sucks that we had to go through so many recolors to get this guy but here we are.
The colors really are the selling point for this figure, as nothing new was added to the set from previous releases, and I think they look outstanding! I do wish Has-Tak could have at least improved the figure’s height somehow, since its proportions were always the biggest complaint with this take on Galvatron.
Strangely enough, this figure shares the same Studio Series code as Commander Class Optimus Prime (SS86-31), this was confirmed to be an error on Hasbro’s part with the numbering sequence.
