Transformers Studio Series 86 Voyager Class Scrapper

Scrapper is considered a Voyager Class release due to his… box size..? Sigh…
When you first remove the figure from the box, his “backpack” needs some fixing. This is what it’s supposed to look like.

Leader of the Constructicon team, Scrapper also functions as the team’s chief engineer, designing impregnable structures and defenses for the Decepticons.

Scrapper comes with his Laser Pistol.
Man… those empty spaces in his arms are an eyesore. Considering how much Hasbro charged for this figure, that’s a bummer.
The figure also does not feature a waist joint. Understandable given he forms the leg for Devastator and lesser joints would mean more stability for the combined mode.

Scrapper also comes with twin cannons meant to form Devastator’s Solar Energy Beam Rifle.

Scrapper’s weapons can be loaded onto his alt mode.

Overall, not too shabby. It’s definitely more show accurate in both modes than the Combiner Wars release. Plus, he’s got elbows now (the USA release of the Combiner Wars version did not have elbows)!
The only real downside is the price point. Even though he’s a Deluxe-sized figure, Scrapper is sold as a Voyager Class. Supposedly the price is due to the ratchet joint they used for the combined mode. A silly excuse to raise the price IMHO.
Also, interestingily, it seems going forward Hasbro is dropping the cardboard backdrops for Studio Series figures. A pity. But then again, I guess most folks don’t really display the backdrops anyways.
