Marvel Legends Last Stand Spider-man

Spider-man Last Stand is based on a glimpse by Madame Web (Julia Carpenter) into one of Spider-man’s possible future timelines, where he kills Kraven the Hunter instead of letting him live at the end of the “Grim Hunt” storyline.

This version of Spider-man supposedly hails from the alternate Earth, Earth-312500. After killing Kraven, he goes down a dark path and continues to eliminate his enemies without remorse. Becoming an anti-hero and being shunned even by the Avengers.

This version of Peter is shown to be much, much older, ready to make one last stand against the police after all the supervillain murders he has done over the decades.

Apart from the new leather-jacketed look, not much has changed with Spider-man’s repertoire, we don’t see him use guns or anything in his final encounter with New York’s finest. Spidey just charges at them with fist swinging until he’s finally shot in the back after beating up a lot of officers.

Overall, not really the best Spider-man figure around. The figure itself is based on an appearance in a few panels of “The Grim Hunt’s” finale. With the events fleshed out a bit more in Spider-man Vol.2 #58 (which began from the 1999 Amazing Spider-man run), which continues into Amazing Spider-man #500 (“Happy Birthday”, part 3). I just needed this guy to help complete the Spider-Society collection (he did appear in “Across the Spider-verse”).

From the get go, it was pretty obvious this one would be one of the few Spidey figures that would eventually go on sale since it wasn’t really popular and my hunch was right. I picked this up at clearance prices.
