Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Air Raid
A reckless daredevil, Air Raid loves to stun his enemies by swooping in close out of nowhere when he has the element of surprise.
I can’t say I like the decision to make the hip sections black. They’re all the same for all of the Aerialbots. The designers could’ve easily kept them white for screen accuracy.
The hollow sections of the arms really stick out, too.
Air Raid comes with his iconic Torque Rifle, whose beam applies 80,000 psi of rotational force to its target. Hasbro decided to give the Aerialbots twin guns this time around.
The deployable front landing gear is located inside his chest piece.
Air Raid’s Torque Rifles can be mounted under his wings in jet mode.
Overall, pretty decent. He does look more screen accurate in both modes compared to the older Combiner Wars design. I just wish Hasbro went with the right colors for his hip areas. Still, it’s cool to have an updated version of this guy, as he was always my favorite Aerialbot back in the day, mainly due to his iconic F-15 Eagle alt mode.
