Aerialbots combine!
Superion looks good even without the Aerialbots on his limbs.
Superion stands roughly 11.75 inches tall when not equipped with the limb units.
To properly attach the leg units, make sure to lock down these black tabs on the knees to hold the lower legs in place.
Likewise, this black tab on the shoulders will pierce through the arm Aerialbots’ bellies to break them into two to allow articulation.
When equipped, Superion’s max height goes up a bit to 12.25 inches, due to the nosecones on the shoulder units.
Superion
The combined form of the Aerialbots. As the first Autobot Combiner, Superion’s “Merging of the minds” isn’t perfect. Instead of combining the psyche of five different Aerialbots together, it instead cancels all of them out, resulting in just one very diluted mind with only limited mental functions. Superion only has one single thought in his mind in order to maintain focus as well as its combination and that is to destroy all Decepticons.
Naturally, Superion looks beefier with the Aerialbots all docked in place.
I find the “windows” for the legs tend not to close flush for some reason.
I really love the way Silverbolt integrates into the Superion frame. Very clever engineering.
The proportions look a bit weird to me, though. Superion’s legs really should be longer, particularly when his arms are so long.
You can opt to have Superion’s Stress Fracture Cannon held in his hand, or….
.. Mounted on his right forearm, for proper screen-accuracy.
The Stress Fracture Cannon actually has a joint, so you can pose the arm without having to worry about the gun being unable to fold.
Overall, very impressive. I like how everything comes together. It’s definitely more fun to fiddle with compared to the Combiner Wars release, plus its got a more sold feel to it as well, mainly due to the joints not flopping around this time for the elbows.
It’s not perfect though, the lack of length for the lower legs makes him look stocky. I really hope some Third Party company will think of a fix for this.
