Transformers Studio Series Commander Class Hook and Long Haul

Hook’s Laser Pistol can be attached the side of the crane in vehicle mode.

An insufferable snob, Hook looks down on others and deems them all inferior to himself. A proud perfectionist, he pays great attention in crafting every detail into everything he makes, often testing the patience of Megatron and the other Decepticons who want results as fast as possible.

For stability reasons, Hook does not come designed with a waist swivel joint.

Hook comes with his Laser Pistol.

Long Haul’s Laser Pistol can be mounted on the side of the vehicle mode.

Devastator parts trailer

The trailer connection isn’t as solid as one would hope as it easily becomes undone. Oh, well…

In charge of hauling supplies for the Decepticons, Long Haul has grown weary of his role as just “transport” and would prefer fighting on the front lines instead, where all the action is.

Lol… it’s sad that every modern take on Long Haul has him look wider than the animation models due his being the mid-section for Devastator. Even his own box packaging has him looking slimmer.

His knee joint is tabbed into place, remember to unlock it after transforming him into robot mode.

Like most of his fellow Constructicons, Long Haul does not feature a waist swivel joint for stability reasons.

He comes with his 2-part blaster for weaponry.

Overall, not bad. The duo are closer approximations to their animation models compared to the Combiner Wars version. They are more posey, too. There are some hollow parts but they’re not too terrible when you spot them (unlike with Scrapper).
The only real downsides are the lack of the waist joints and the somewhat high price tag for these two. Considered “Voyager Class” and bundled together and sold as “Commander Class”, it really feels like a cash grab when you see them to be only just as big as “Deluxe Class”. Sigh…
Hopefully, Devastator comes out good enough to justify the crazy price adjustments to these “Voyagers”.
