Transformers Studio Series Voyager Class Mixmaster

The “mad scientist” of the group, Mixmaster delights in mixing whatever he can gets his hands on into his mixing drum, even parts from fallen Transformers. All in the name of serving the Decepticon cause. Cackling and laughing to himself whenever he’s “working”, his fellow Decepticons tend to

The top portion of the robot mode is meant to be an “optical distortion projector” that can bend light waves, disorienting the vision of anyone caught in its field. I don’t think we ever saw this used in the cartoons.

Like the other members released for the Studio Series Constructicons, Mixmaster doesn’t feature a waist swivel joint either.

Lol… this leftover portion of his alt mode sticks out like a sore thumb.

For weaponry, Mixmaster comes with his Laser Pistol.

Mixmaster’s Laser Pistol can be mounted on top on the alt mode.

Overall, pretty good. Mixmaster was the least animation model accurate bot in the Combiner Wars Constructicon group and I’m glad Hasbro was able to remedy it here and make him look proper in both modes.
While priced and sold as a “Voyager Class” figure, he stands about as big as a “Deluxe Class” one, which can be a bit disappointing when you first open up his packaging. I don’t see the value or reason for the price jump right now, but maybe it’ll make sense when we finally combine Devastator.
