Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Vortex

Vortex loves to terrorize any captured Autobots by taking them on a dizzying spin inside the whirlwind he creates when he’s in his alt mode. Functioning as the Decepticons’ chief interrogator, Vortex often finds creative ways to get Autobot captives to crack when under pressure to talk.

Vortex’s wrist cannons can be tabbed into the sides of his arms. Naturally, you’ll have to transform his arms to the right orientation from out of the box to get it to work.

Vortex comes with his iconic Semi-automatic Glue Gun.

Lastly, while it’s never really been shown in the old cartoons, you can detach his rotors and plug them into his forearms to serve as a melee weapon.

Vortex’s guns can tab into the sides of the alt mode.

Alternately, the guns can also be plugged into the tail section of the heli.

Overall, pretty good. Like most of the Age of the Primes “upgraded” versions of the classic Combiners, Vortex is more screen-accurate than all of the previous Vortex figures ever released. The design for the transformation of his forearms is a bit disappointing though, since it leaves lots of kibble in the back, but I guess it is what it is.
The Combaticon team has already been revealed and they look great! Hopefully we’ll get the Protectobots soon too.
