G.i. Joe Classified # 157 Law & Order

Law

A former beat cop, Christopher M. Lavigne sought more out of his life with his set of skills. Law decided to sign up with the Military Police. Now assigned to the G.i. Joe K9 Corps with his German Shepard partner, Order, the duo is tasked with developing and maintaining G.I. Joe security protocols. Their assignments usually include manning Checkpoints at the G.i. Joe compound.

In the 1986 movie, Law spoke with a South American accent, plus he sounded very young. So I’m not really sure if this head sculpt matches up with what folks were expecting. He looks.. Scottish to me, if I’m being honest.

For weaponry, Law comes with a sidearm that can be holstered on his vest.

He also comes with a submachine gun that can be holstered on his left thigh.

Naturally, as an MP, he comes with a nightstick, it can be stowed away in a loop on his belt.

Lastly, Law comes with a knife, but I don’t see any spot on the figure where it can be sheathed…?

Law also comes with a pair of handcuffs. There’s a pocket for them on his belt but I don’t recommend folding the cuffs so they can both fit in. It might accidentally break the plastic “chain”.

There’s also a second pair of cuffs sculpted onto his belt.

Law ready for action.

Order

Law’s faithful companion. As part of the MP K9 corps, it’s Order’s job to sniff out any potential threats. A uniquely smart dog; Order usually helps Law out of bad situations whenever his partner is in trouble.

Unlike the original vintage figure, Order gets a modernized take and comes outfitted with a tactical vest for the Classified line, for attaching cameras and sensors. He also comes with optional Augmented Reality headgear, which are basically high tech goggles that provide visual cues and guidance, allowing handlers to direct the dog on what to do remotely.

Order comes with an alternate “angry” head.

The set provides Law with an optional “pointing” hand so he can direct orders at Order.

There’s also a “patting” hand for Law so he can pet Order. Aww…

Lastly, there’s this optional hand for Law, I’m not really sure if it’s meant for whistling to Order or for feeding him?

I decided to go with the former.

Overall, a pretty great set! I love that they incorporated some tactical accessories for Order, as these really add a lot of character to the figure as an actual Military Working Dog.

On the downside, I do find Law’s headsculpt a bit off and I was hoping for a more South American face on the figure. His accessories are pretty decent, as they are reflective of his station as an MP officer.

Only Big Lob to go and we finally get all of the Rawhides from the movie together in 6 inch form!

Shaggy and Scooby-doo..

Hasbro’s oddball internal codename for pre-orders for Law and Order is BB Salvadore Pet.
