S.H. Figuarts Frieren
Frieren is a powerful mage. As one of the last few survivors of her Elven race, she can live for hundreds of years and still appear young and ageless. Mastering magic casting and control of her mana for over a thousand years, Frieren is one of the last great mages of her world.
On her travels, Frieren pays her respects to the monuments of her late friend Himmel the Hero.
The set provides a silly face for the figure. She tends to make this face when she knows she screwed up or when she’s super happy, or sleepy… lol..
Since she’s a mage, she comes with her iconic staff for focusing her mana in order to fire spells.
Lastly, the set comes with a giant magic circle you can set up behind Frieren. This circle appears whenever she’s about to launch some powerful blast spells to take out demons (namely the Zoltraak!).
Overall, I love it! The figure looks really good and I am super glad Bandai included the magic circle backdrop!
The Frieren series really grew on me (the second exam arc did get kinda slow though). I love the music from the show (Zoltraak!) as well as the characters and adventures the crew faces while on their travels. I missed this figure the first time Bandai released her in the S.H. Figuarts line, since I hadn’t watched it yet, so I am super glad Bandai did a reissue run, as prices for her were getting out of hand in the secondary market.
I really hope Bandai continuous this subline by releasing Frieren’s traveling pals, Fern and Stark, to complete the main trio from the show.
