NECA TMNT 2012 Ultimate Leonardo
The leader of the group, Leonardo trains the hardest among his brethren, always looking for Master Splinter’s approval and taking his sensei’s teachings to heart.
Naturally, Leonardo comes with his iconic twin katana blades.
Both of Leo’s katana blades can be sheathed into the scabbards in his back. Sometimes, getting them to slide in is a bit tricky for some reason. There’s some resistance in one or the other scabbard.
Leo comes with an alternate head, but his eyes are closed. I guess this is for when he’s meditating? I really would’ve preferred a more neutral face to go with rest of his brothers when not in combat.
Like the rest of his brothers in this line, Leo comes with his T-Phone, to contact the other Turtles.
Likewise, he also comes with a Ninja Smoke Bomb, same as his brothers.
No self-respecting Turtle should show up without a slice of pizza. Good thing NECA packed one for Leo.
Lastly, Leo comes with Mircrofission Omni-Disintegrator (info from the official NECA Store) aka the Subspacial Endoparticle Disruptor or Omniparticle Disintegrator (from the TMNT Wiki). This weapon was picked up by Leo from the Kraang in the episode “Baxter’s Gambit”.
According to Donatello, it desynchronizes particles at a subatomic level, causing them to implode. Lol… Science.
Forget katana blades! I got a death blaster!
Overall, a pretty good release. I do wish NECA Toys gave us a better alternate head for Leo that didn’t have him with his eyes closed. Still, that aside, this is still a pretty cool Leonardo figure.
