Marvel Legends Gamerverse Captain America vs. Venom
Captain America
A Sentinel of Liberty, Steve Rogers leads the Marvel Heroes against the Mad Titan Thanos, who plans to use the Infinity Gems to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and take out half of the universe!
I really love the headsculpt on Cap.
Naturally, Captain America comes with his trusty shield.
After all the Captain America figures we’ve gotten over the decades, I can’t believe we’re still getting holes in his back for holding the shield. I wish there was some engineering improvement here.
Same old hinge joint to switch from clip to peg for Cap’s shield.
“Hold it!”
“Shield Slash!”
“When Captain America throws his mighty shield”…. Man, that theme never gets old.
*Uses Infinity Gem.
Lol.. for some reason, Cap comes with two “thumbs up” hands. Not that I’m complaining.
“Thumbs up, soldier!”
Of course, the most important accessory for Captain America in this set – the “Charging Star” effects part, which clips onto his shield.
Venom
A former rival photographer of Peter Parker’s from the Daily Bugle, Eddie Brock bonds with the alien symbiote that was previously attached to Spider-man. Becoming a terrifying villain that would have Spider-man’s abilities, knowledge of his secrets, along with Eddie Brock’s raw muscle and rage – Venom!
Hmm… Pinned knee joints?
Venom comes with a semi-unmasked head showing Eddie Brock.
Venom doesn’t really come with much, just an alternate head and alternate hands.
“Brains!!!”
Versus!!
Overall, I love it! The best Captain America in the Marvel Legends line yet! I love the colors, the accessories and the sculpts on this guy! The new shoulder joints also add a lot of fun poseability and proper proportion to the figure. On the other hand, Venom for this set is a bit underwhelming since we’ve gotten better versions of Venom over years. I just wish Venom came with some more symbiote effects parts. But at least he matches the video game color motifs.
