In the Shin Mazinger Z Manga, it was Great Mazinkaiser who stepped up to stop Mazinger Zero. But for some reason, in the SRW V game, the developers couldn’t use Great Mazinkaiser for some reason (rights issue maybe?) so they had to make their own character, which was Mazin Emperor G.
