G.i. Joe Joecon 2017 Laser Vipers 3pack
The Laser Viper was another one of those prominent Cobra Vipers in the DIC era cartoons. Oddly enough, whenever I see the helmet it makes me think of Star War’s Boba Fett.
While the helmet looks nice, it has no real “fit” to it, as it just sort of sits there. It comes off with the slightest flick of a finger.
Holster on left hip has a removable pistol.
The pistol is ridiculously small, so be careful not to loose it.
This figure was actually first revealed a few years back in Hasbro’s “Concept Case” display designs for possible upcoming figures. A major downer here is that the vintage-style backpack didn’t make it through the “modernizing” process. As it is, we’re stuck with Sci-fi’s Argon-burst rifle, minus the paint.
It’s not a perfect throwback to the vintage design, but at this point in G.i. Joe’s toyline, I’m happy to get anything that can help complete the original toy lineup.
