Bandai Anime Heroes My Hero Academia Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without any powers in a world where almost everyone in the population has powers, dreams of one day becoming like his champion, All Might. Out of the blue, he is given the chance to be given abilities as powerful as his hero. Izuku begins his journey to becoming the world’s greatest superhero.

Izuku’s outfit here is based on the third hero costume he had in the series, more commonly referred to as his Beta costume.

I really loved the start of My Hero Academia, when Izuku was just starting out and how hard he trained to be worthy of All Might’s One For All powers. The final seasons focused more on the villains and their stories, which wasn’t something that sort of broke the rhythm of the series for me.

First appearing in Season 2, Izuku’s Costume Beta is a huge improvement in terms of looks compared to his very first Alpha costume, which looked like a onesie (lol). The Beta is Izuku’s first costume to have improvements made by the UA Support Team. The suit is outfitted with reinforced gloves and boots designed to protect Midoriya from damaging his body too much whenever he uses his powers.

The set doesn’t come with much sadly, just extra hands for Izuku.

With the S.H. Figuarts Deku (in his final “Zeta” costume).

Overall, not bad. This figure came bundled with one of my Soul of Chogokin purchases and I have to say, even without any solid accessories, Izuku is a lot of fun to handle. The joints also feature some soft ratchets and the sculpt work is good enough to capture the look of the character. Best of all, as this is a mass market targeted item, which means the price isn’t too shabby either. I recommend checking it out if you didn’t get the S.H. Figuarts version.
