Dragon Ball Dragon Stars Super Baby 2
The last survivor of the Tuffle race once exterminated by the Saiyans, Baby is reborn as a machine mutant. He is eventually able to infect and take over Vegeta’s body in Dragon Ball GT. Infecting everyone else on Earth adn taking over their minds, Baby begins his plan to bring back his home planet by the using the Dragon Balls.
This figure is based off of Super Baby Vegeta’s Strongest Form 2 appearance in the Dragon Ball GT Anime. Also known as Super Baby 2, this form is achieved by absorbing all of the negative energy from all of his mind-controlled human minions. Now stronger than before, Baby is now capable of defeating even Super Saiyan 3 Kid Goku.
I gotta admit, I haven’t really been following the Dragon Stars toyline, but dang, this figure really surprised me. It’s really good and quite fun to pose!
Super Baby stands roughly 6.25 inches tall.
Bandai even adopted Hasbro’s “drop hips” joint designs on this figure to give it more clearance when posing. Cool!
It’s a shame the figure’s only accessories are just a pair of alternate hands. Sigh..
Still, those “grabby hands” do add a lot of value to this figure when posed right.
Overall, I am very pleased with this figure! It came bundled with one of my Soul of Chogokin purchases and I have to say I was not expecting this to impress, as I don’t really follow this line and I generally prefer the S.H. Figuarts and I am glad to be proven wrong.
Considering we have yet to get an actual S.H. Figuarts Super Baby to pair up with SSJ4 Goku and much like Dragon Stars Kid Buu, this one is a good fit to fill that missing gap we all have for one of the main antagonists in the Dragon Ball GT saga.
