Transformers Fans Toys FT-31B Magnum (Masterpiece Wildrider)

Fans Toys items usually come with an outer plastic baggie to protect the box.

Since this is a Third Party, non-official item, it doesn’t come with a faction symbol. It’s best to get some stickers from Reprolabels/Toyhax.com to make this guy more “toon-accurate”. Alternately, you can also use “water slide decals” to make them look even more flawless (you won’t see the edges, unlike with stickers) but I’ve never really had the proper skills, or time (usually needs to be individually cut first) to work with those.

For water slide decals, most folks recommend the one from Ocean Studio. Here:

To apply stickers, I find the best way to stick the stickers on is to use the tip of a blade, or a flat, small-tipped object, this way you have more control over the application, as compared to using one’s stubby fingers. You can also use the blade to help gently peel off a corner of the sticker in case you didn’t center it right and need to re-apply.

Magnum weighs 336 Grams and stands roughly 8.25 inches.

Diecast parts include:
-Chest
-Sections of the torso
-Thighs (?)
-Some panels on the lower legs
-Feet

Magnum features rubberized tires. So be mindful of that when you leave it displayed in vehicle mode in a hot environment.

Remember to pull out the arms.

Chromed mags on the wheels. Be mindful when handling with bare hands to avoid fingerprint smudges and eventual tarnish on the finish.

I’m generally OK with FT’s QC stickers on the figures, as they’re somewhat not immediately seen, but this time around, they stuck it where it would become the vehicle mode’s roof. I eventually opted to peel it off and stick it to the styrofoam tray.

For articulation, for some reason, this guy is missing the ab crunch joint (Spoiler/ Breakdown and Roadking/ Motormaster had them).

To replace the face plate, remove his forehead panel first.

Wildrider, the most psychotic member of the Stunticons. Lives only to maniacally crash and destroy without reason. This Stunticon is also plagued with thoughts of paranoia, making him even more unstable.

I love how this figure can hold this kick pose.

His only accessory (apart from the spare face plate) is his “Scattershot Gun”.

Transforming him isn’t too hard. It was even actually enjoyable, plus seeing how cool the finished form looks gives a nice “mission accomplished” feeling at the end.

Slot for weapon attachment.

It’s a shame FT didn’t put in his Plasma-Energy Blaster for his vehicle mode in this set.

Side note, I forgot to take a picture, but you can lift up his headlights. Really impressively done Fans Toys!

With his fellow Fans Toys “Demolition Derby” teammates.

Yeah, Sideswipe’s doomed.

Overall, I love it! Beautifully painted figure that visually looks amazing on the shelf. The transformation is pretty good and nothing that will give you too much grief (Spoiler was more difficult). Sculpt and articulation are good, although I do wish they put in the ab crunch joint to make the figure even more dynamic. They were able to do it with Spoiler, so why not here too? Oh well, it’s still pretty impressive for what it is. Now I am really excited to see the whole team come together!
