G.i. Joe Classified #132 Iron Grenadiers
As Destro’s elite troopers, the Iron Grenadiers are cunning and well-trained in explosives and sabotage. All working to help expand global demand for Destro’s weapons by infiltrating and creating chaos in unsuspecting nations. Extremely loyal to Destro, these commandos are hand-picked by Destro himself to serve under his direct orders.
The Iron Grenadier’s helmet can be removed
Admittedly, his skirt can get a bit in the way of posing the figure. I wish Hasbro gave us the “classic” version of this guy.
For weaponry, every Iron Grenadier, of course, comes with his iconic sword.

The set also comes with laser pistol similar to the one that came with Classified Destro.
The pistol can be holstered on his back when not in use. The Iron Grenadier also comes with a regular sidearm that can be holstered on his lower back.
If you have two Iron Grenadiers, having one dual wield pistols looks really cool.
For added firepower, the set provides the Iron Grenadier an automatic shotgun.
Removable ammo magazine.
For maximum firepower, the set gives the Iron Grenadier a heavy machine gun!
Removable ammo box.
Lastly, the tray can be used as a backdrop for the figure. I just wish Hasbro gave us the Iron Grenadiers logo instead of the Cobra logo to better match this guy.
The bottom can be flipped backwards to help stabilize the backdrop.
Overall, pretty darn good! The set comes with so much gear it’s really something to see. Plus the gold, black and red colors on Destro’s troops always look stylish. Thankfully, the skirt doesn’t impede poseability too much.
All that said, admittedly, I would still love to get Iron Grenadiers that are based on the classic look and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing that version in the Retro Carded series sooner than later.
Hasbro’s oddball codename for the Iron Grenadiers is “Betty”, the wife of Barney Rubble from the Hanna Barbera Flintstones, I believe .
