G.i. Joe Classified #133 Alpine

Albert Pine is always ready to overcome challenges in his life, even taking up mountain climbing recreationally just to push himself past his limits. He got so good at his “hobby” that after graduating from Ranger School, he signed up with G.i. Joe as the team’s Mountaineering specialist!

“Idaho” logo T-shirt underneath.
He comes with removable hat and goggles.

It’s a shame Hasbro didn’t include his classic backpack. In fact, he doesn’t come with ANY backpack.
Alpine comes with 2 climbing picks.
Lol… hard to imagine Alpine sneaking up on anyone wearing this much neon green, as well as carrying so much metal-based gear, which tends to clank about.

Alpine comes with his grapple gun. It features a detachable hook.

Lastly, if all else fails, he can always go old school and use a simple grappling hook and rope. Heh, the rope was so neatly rolled up, I didn’t feel like unfurling it.
For weapons, he doesn’t come with much though, just his submachine gun.
Removable ammo magazine.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with what we got. Alpine was one of the cooler, smooth-talking characters from G.i. Joe cartoons, so he always seemed more high profile than most Joe team members who usually were just background characters. Plus, we really gotta get him so Bazooka has his best buddy to hang out with. My only complaint here would probably be the colors on this guy. I think it’s highly likely we’ll see him in the Retro Carded line with the proper toon colors.
Hasbro’s oddball codename for Alpine is “Elroy”, the little boy in Hanna Barbera’s The Jetsons animated series from back in the day.
