G.i. Joe Classified # 156 Footloose

Andrew D. Meyers was once the Valedictorian of his high school class and had a scholarship ticket with his name on it. He decided to drop all of it, go off the grid for three years to go find himself, came back home and signed up for the army before joining G.i. Joe. While seemingly aloof and usually spaced out, Footloose is a good army man and can be totally depended on when the time comes to take up the fight to Cobra.

Footloose comes with a helmet that has binoculars sculpted in. I wish these are removable, as they tend to stick out like a sore thumb when you look at the figure head on.

The headsculpt for Footloose is OK. Not really something that stands out, but good enough to stand next to the other Joes.

Hmm.. I’m not entirely sure what the red four-leaf clover stands for on this figure? He is of Scottish descent I believe, so maybe that’s connected to that?

Footloose comes with his standard infantry backpack.

There’s an ammo clip on his left clip, too bad it isn’t removable.

Footloose comes with a knife that can be sheathed in his webgear, as well as a sidearm that can be holstered on his right hip.

“I’m, like, deadly with CQC, man!”

As an infantry man, Footloose comes with the stand issue M-16

Removable ammo clip.

As an homage to the vintage figure, an M73-A1 LAWS rocket launcher is also included with this set.

It’s a bit difficult to get him to hold the launcher, this is the best I could do.

Overall, another great release for the Joe Classified line! As usual, the details in the figure don’t disappoint and there are lot of homages to the classic 3.75” scale figure.

A part of me does wish it came in cartoon accurate colors so it blends better with his usual pal, Dusty, that and that Hasbro did the helmet a bit better (the non-removable helmet scope is annoying), but overall, it’s a good addition to the already ever-growing roster of the Classified line.

Hasbro’s oddball internal codename for pre-orders for Footloose is Flanders, based on the Simpson’s character.
