Baroness

Born into European aristocracy, Anastasia DeCobray was a spoiled rich girl who became radicalized in college and later joined several terrorist activities before hooking up with Cobra. Ever the opportunist,he Baroness tends to ally herself with the strongest individual in an organization in order to build and maintain her own grip on power.

Hands down the best head sculpt on Baroness yet!

I really wish they did thicker heels for her. She can be a bit difficult to stand up sometimes.

Cobra patch logo detailing.

The set provides an optional cover for her rebreather on her vest when she’s not wearing her flight mask. It took me a while to figure out where this was supposed to go on her.

Baroness comes with a pair of handguns that can be holstered on her sides.

I love how the Hasbro design team decided to include optional hairstyles for her.
“Wet hair” look.

“Bun hair” look

To get her glasses to slot in properly, it’s best to equip her glasses first, then put on her hair piece.

The bun hairstyle is the best match for when she’s wearing her headphones.

I think it works best too when she’s holding her huge sniper rifle, as it allows more freedom for her head to move.

Removable mag on her sniper rifle.

Lastly, Baroness comes with her flight helmet.

You’ll have to remove her hair to get the helmet on.

Rebreather mask on (the opposite end plugs into her vest).

Wild Weasel

Not much is known about the man known as Wild Weasel, other than that he’s one of the best pilots around. His piloting skills are so good, that even the pilots on the G.i. Joe team acknowledge them. Wild Weasel is best known for his rivalry with the G.i. Joe pilot, Ace, the two would always be drawn together to go head-to-head when they cross paths in any air combat scenario.

Wild Weasel unmasked!

Since this is the first time we see Wild Weasel without his helmet on, it’s interesting to see his scars. Supposedly, he suffered these wounds during a strafing run before joining up with Cobra. His injury also affects his speech, causing him to making hissing sounds when he says words with “sh” or “z” in them.

He also comes with a helmet that reflects his look after the airborne dog fight he and Ace had in one of the most famous issues of Marvel Comics G.i. Joe (issue #34)

Rebreather mask equipped (opposite end plugs into the left side of his vest).

Cobra patch detail.

Wild Weasel has the option to attach these maps to his thighs. You can opt to not use the maps and plug them up with the option pieces, if you wish.

For weaponry, he doesn’t come with much, just his sidearm, which is holstered on his right thigh.

Cobra Rattler Gunner

The Cobra Gunner is the one in charge of the targeting and firing systems onboard the Rattler, while Wild Weasel is focused on flying the craft to avoid enemy fire.

The figure reuses parts from Wild Weasel.

The set provides an alternate head and neck for the Gunner, so you can swap him to be Caucasian instead of African American.

I’ll stick with the Caucasian look, as we never really got any African American Cobras back in the day.

As he uses the same pants as Wild Weasel, you can opt to plug in the maps on his thighs if they’re not being used by Wild Weasel.

The gunner comes with a pair of pistols that can be holstered on his sides.

For added firepower, the Gunner comes with a submachine gun.

Removable ammo clip.

Too bad there aren’t any effects parts for his weapons.

Rebreather mask on (same as with Wild Weasel, it plugs into the left side of his suit).

The Cobra Rattler Team

Cobra Rattler

As Cobra’s main air attack aircraft, the Cobra Rattler features a wide array of projectile weapons that can be attached to the hardpoints under its wings. As well as several powerful guns mounted below the craft’s nosecone and a pair of cannons on its dorsal side.It also has a VTOL (Vertical Take OFF and Landing) system, making it extremely versatile across a wide range of operations.

The vehicle is based off of the “real world” Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, more commonly known as the “Warthog”.

Be warned! – Attaching the wings to the Rattler is meant to be a one-time thing only! You can’t remove the wings after you plug them in! I had to unscrew some panels to get the wings to come apart so I could return the parts to the box. Even then I didn’t bother with popping the C-clip to get it back to 100% disconnected. It was a huge hassle.

Sigh.. annoyingly, my unit has some sort of blemish on it from the molding process.

The ship spans roughly 34 inches in length.

Seatbelt straps for Wild Weasel. They were a bit hard to work with at first, I had to fully pull them out of the seat interior for it to have the clearance for fitting in a figure. It felt like they were stuck or something.

Rubber tires on the wheels.

Removable engine cover. There’s a lot of amazing sculpt work done on these “High-Bypass Continuous Ratio Turbofan Engines”.

Main boarding ladder for the pilot.

Opening c0ckpit hatch. You’ll have to totally pluck the front canopy off, though, before you can get the proper clearance to get any pilot figure inside.

Ground crew ladder.

The fans rotate on the turbines. You will have to manually rotate them, though.

VTOL function on the wings. Just simply rotate them, as they are on ratchet joints. They’re pretty fun to handle, actually.

In order to help collectors who are display space conscious, Hasbro included the option to fold the wings up if one wishes. Simply press on the release button to allow you to pull out the joint and then fold up the wings.

Electronics Department
Battery compartment for the lights. The toy requires 3x AA batteries to operate.

Repeatedly pressing this button up top toggles the light effects.

Instruction guide for the lights sequence.

Pressing the button once will light up the wing lights to blue. Pressing the button again will make it go red (attack mode?).

Wild Weasel’s instrument panel also lights up.

Pressing the button a second time will make the panel light up differently, indicating battle damage somewhere on the ship.

It’s too bad the panel is red, the same color as Wild Weasel, so you can’t really make out that the panel is lit up when Wild Weasel is in the seat.

Likewise, the Gunner’s instrument panel also has light up features.

Rattler Armaments:
-Two 70mm Precision Guided Rocket Launchers
-Two Sistrum Cluster Bombs
-Two Thermonuclear bombs
-Six PL-MI84 Unguided Bombs
-Two AEA-56 AEA Quick Thrust Short-Range Missiles
-Two EO-118 Electro Optical Renegade Missiles.
-Shell-proof Molded Turret with Self-Seal Barrier
-Twin 20mm Multiple-Fire Cannons
-Kerry-9B “Jawbreaker” Nose Cannon
My favorite has to be these cluster bombs. I love the little beads inside, Lol… reminds me of a kid’s toy.

Shell-proof Molded Turret with Self-Seal Barrier for the gunner’s hatch.

Effects parts for the Twin 20mm Multiple-Fire Cannons

Effects parts for the High-Bypass Continuous Ratio Turbofan Engines.

As well as effects parts for the EO-118 Electro Optical Renegade Missiles.

Lastly, effects parts for the Kerry-9B “Jawbreaker” Nose Cannon.

Battle Damage Options
Just like with the original toy, there’s an option to replace one of the side panels with a “shot up” version, to reflect battle damage.

Even cooler, there’re electronics here that can light up so it reflects damage to the ship’s interior! Really wow!

There’s even an option to make it “spark”, thanks to an additional pulsing white light. Just wild!

Display Base – Be warned! It isn’t just the Rattler that has one-time connection parts, the base connector nubs are all one-time connection only as well!!

Depending on how you place this adapter, you can position the Rattler to look like it’s taking off. Flip the adapter around and it make the Rattler look like it’s doing a diving strafing run. Pretty clever.

Optional pegs for holding extra bombs and missiles. It’s a shame we can’t load everything onto the Rattler at the same time, but at least we can still appreciate the stuff that’s not attached to it, thanks to this rack.

A pull-out tray is included for placing extra accessories. Pretty nifty.

Thanks to the base, positioning the Rattler like it’s flying really adds a lot of dimensions to the vehicle.

Overall, an incredible set!! I never would have thought we would get vehicles in the 6″ Classified line and yet Hasbro managed to pull it off! The details on this thing are insane! The figures are really well done (best Baroness headsculpt yet!). The ship is huge and looks amazing! It’s just nuts!!
The only real negative though is that the wings cannot be removed directly for returning back to the box. It will take a lot of work to get things back to where we started. Likewise, the display base is also a one-time only assembly, as well. I really wish these things weren’t designed like this.
That aside, this thing is an absolute beast. Just wow…
I wonder if we’ll ever see the Skystriker in this scale?
Hasbro’s oddball internal codename for pre-orders for the Rattler set is “Dinosaur Neil” .
