G.i. Joe Classified # 187 Night-Viper
Night-Vipers live in constant darkness as part of their training, so that their eyes and senses are accustomed to working in very little-to- no light conditions. When the field, they are equipped with state-of-the-art helmet sensors to boost their ingrained skills even further. The Night-Viper can see (and hear) everything clear as day in the middle of pitch-black darkness. His own suit is composed of materials designed to hide his own infra-red heat signatures from enemies with detection gear.
We get a pretty generic Cobra trooper head here.
For weaponry, the Night-Viper comes with two different daggers, one is sheathed on his webgear, while the other is sheathed on his lower left boot (this one took a minute to find, lol..)
He also comes with a pretty cool-looking sidearm that holsters on his right thigh.
I wonder what these are? Flares? If they are, it’s a shame they’re not removable.

Be mindful of the NV gear though, it’s just on a small stubble peg and tends to get dislodged easily.

Of course, the Night-Viper’s specialty weapon is the sniper rifle.

Unfortunately, as well articulated as the figure is, you can’t get it to line up its rifle scope with its night vision goggles down.
Overall, I love it! I always loved the concept of Cobra having night ops specialists in their ranks and the design and colors of this guy fits the bill perfectly.
I do wish the design team added more weapons or modified the backpack to hold the sniper rifle, but it is what it is.
With this release, we are getting ever so close to completing the main Cobra Viper specialists. I really wonder where the line will go after they released the last remaining OG specialists?
