G.i. Joe Classified Retro Cardback G.i. Joe Trooper (Greenshirts)
Serving as the backbone of the G.i. Joe team, these grunts usually help support the Joes by providing logistics and manpower when needed. Hoping to eventually make it through the ranks and become full-fledged Joes with their own Codenames, these nameless “Greenshirts” do everything they can to help the Joes win the fight against Cobra.
The African-American headsculpt is the default head attached to the Greenshirt.
The figure comes with a sidearm that can be holstered on his right thigh and a sheathe for his knife on the left thigh. There’s also a slot for an ammo clip with the holster, but I can’t find anything in this set that fits in there.

The set also has a Caucasian look for the trooper.
The set comes with two different rifles for the Greenshirt. The assault rifle with removable ammo mag.
The second rifle is the gun we usually see in the old Sunbow G.i. Joe cartoons. These are supposed to be “Laser Rifles”, so they don’t require ammo clips.
Overall, pretty neat. I’m glad that we finally got the Greenshirts to help fill out the Joe ranks in the Classified series. Thankfully, Hasbro didn’t make these into Deluxe packs. Army building would really sting then.
I’m also really glad I didn’t get into army building Grunt to serve as my Joe troopers.
However, I do wish the set provided an additional weapon or so for the Greenshirts, but then again, they never did come with much outside of the usual laser rifles in the old Joe cartoons.
