Marvel Legends Captain America: The Winter Soldier Infinity Saga Black Widow

A highly-skilled former Russian spy now under the employ of S.H.I.E.L.D., Natasha Romanoff is sent by Nick Fury to observe Tony Stark. She helps recruit Iron Man and the Hulk and is instrumental in forming the original Avengers. She later joins Captain America in uncovering a conspiracy inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization involving Hydra.

Both headsculpts are actually reuses of the original heads from the Captain America: Winter Soldier movie Widow figure set. Thanks to the use of the more modern digital face print technology, the new paint apps elevate the old heads to a higher level.

The figure also reuses some body parts from the original 2014 release, namely the lower torso and legs, but sports new upper torso and arms. Same as before, the guns on her sides cannot be removed.

The new arms feature double-jointed elbows.

I really wish they also improved the feet design, they’re not the most stable to pose.

She comes with her pistols.

Unfortunately, her “trigger-holding” hands don’t really hold onto the guns all that well.

The set comes with an alternate “short hair” head based on her appearance in the Avengers movie. Again, the use of the digital face print goes a long way in improving the base sculpt work.

I actually prefer this head since it gives us more range of articulation compared to her “long-haired” Winter Soldier movie head.

Lastly, the set comes with “Widow’s Bite” effects parts, which previously came with the deluxe set “white suited” MCU Black Widow figure.

Overall, I love the updated look for this figure. I was originally on the fence for this, since it does feature a lot of reuse from the previous release, but the improved face print and new arms just go a really long way. Easily the best MCU Black Widow figure to date!

That said, Hasbro could’ve improved a lot of other things with the old figure (namely the knees and feet). Sigh… So close, yet so far.
