Marvel Legends Giant-man and Wasp
Giant-man
Scientist Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym discovers the Pym Particles, which allows him to shrink or grow into any size. After some practice, he is finally able to grow into the size of a building on command, adding a new set of skills to his super heroics when he’s out saving the world with the great superhero team, the Avengers.
The body uses pinless joints.
Meant to supplement the Haslab Giant-man release, this figure is basically a scaled-down version of that figure.
The set provides us with an alternate “unmasked” head and lab coat for Hank.
Surprisingly, the lab coat is cloth. Previous coats in the Legends line were usually soft plastic.
The head is a reuse of the head from the Amazon West Coast Avengers 5-pack.
For some reason, (I think it’s the eye paint?), Hank looks meaner here compared to the other release, even though it’s essentially the same sculpt underneath.
As a scientist, the set provides some flasks for Hank to handle. Too bad he can’t grip both at the same time though. He has to hold a single flask with both hands.
Wasp
Janet Van Dyne is the wife of Hank Pym. A fashion designer and wealthy socialite, she originally chose to be a super hero for the thrills and adventures, making her seem shallow at the start of things.
I kind of wish they gave her more expression for this costumed head.
Using the same Pym particles that shrinks her husband, Janet’s costume also generates wings to allow her to fly whenever she shrinks. The wings on the figure plug in or come off easily enough.
The set comes with an alternate unmasked Janet head.
Thankfully, her face is more expressive here. Some folks actually suggest the head somewhat resembles actress Amber Heard. I can see it.
Giant-man and the Wasp
During their down time, Janet likes to help out Hank in the lab, or at least she pretends to know what she’s doing (she wasn’t a scientist back in the day).
Aside from the flasks, the set comes with a miniaturized Avengers Quinjet and computer tablet for the duo to use.
Well… at least we finally get the Quinjet in the Marvel Legends line… lol.
Eventually, to keep the characters interesting, Marvel Comics decided to make Hank into a wife-beating jerk and the couple eventually divorced. Geez…

Overall, pretty good. It’s a great addition to the classic Avengers lineup and a great add-on to the Haslab Giant-man figure. My only gripe would be the lack of “shrunken” versions of the pair to put next to the regular-sized Avengers. That would’ve been a nice bonus for this 2-pack, but I guess Hasbro wanted to keep costs down, as usual. But at least we finally have the founding Avengers together in their iconic costumes in the Legends line.
I think this set was originally a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive? It sold out fast in my neck of the woods. Thankfully, Hasbro gave this set a second run a few months later and I was able to order this time around.
