Drax

The sculpting for Drax has improved over the GOTG Vol. 1 version, I don’t have the figure with me at the moment (it’s in storage) but I think it is possible to swap the heads around if you don’t like Drax doing the yelling face all the time.

Knives, coz it’s Drax.

Rocket launcher included!

Yondu

Yondu’s death really got me, it was sad to see him die, I didn’t like him much in GOTG 1, but thanks to some excellent writing, they made the character more likeable and it made a bigger emotional impact when he died.

I loved how Hasbro excuted his weapon effect, complete with “whistling” head. Great job!

I’m Mary Poppins y’all!

Vance Astro

I really have no idea who Vance Astro is, I had to look him up. Turns out he’s actually a mutant from Earth and was a member of one of the incarnations of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

On one of his missions, he was tasked with regaining Captain America’s lost shield. Later on he was also known as Major Victory.

The shield can be stored through the peg on his back.

Uhm.. what if Dr. Manhattan and Captain America had a son?

Darkhawk

Darkhawk backstory takes a page out of Shazam’s background. When teenager Chris Powell discovers an amulet, it grants him the ability to change places with an android body, which Chris can fully control. Chris uses the Darkhawk to fight crime. It is later revealed that the android body is stored somewhere onboard a starship in Null space.

The Darkhawk body has the ability of flight, strength, healing factor and can shoot energy blasts from the amulet on his chest.

The android body also has claw cables on his right arm, which serves as a grappling hook of sorts.

Angela

Angela was created by Todd Mcfarlane and Neil Gaiman back when Gaiman guest wrote for Spawn, after a long legal battle for ownership rights, Gaiman won and sold her rights to Marvel. She was introduced as the long lost sister of Thor, Aldrif,

A master of hand-to-hand combat, Angela also has superhuman strength, speed, and flight.

Her sword can be sheathed.

Apart from her sword, she also comes with two melee weapons.

Nova

Created by Jeph Loeb and Ed Mcguiness, Sam Alexander is the newest human to become Nova, following Richard Rider. Wearing the Nova Centurion helmet grants Sam the ability of flight, telekinesis, superhuman strength, energy projection, and the ability to breathe underwater or in space.

Also included is Nova Corp member Phlish. He didn’t really do much in the comics except died. As a figure, Phlish can’t stand at all, which makes me wonder why they included him without a proper flight stand or something.

Star-Lord

Like Drax, the sculpt work on Peter Quill is dead-on, they really captured the likeness of actor Chris Pratt is incredible, it puts the GOTG Vol. 1 Peter Quill figure to shame.

Alternate “space mask” face.

Twin blasters.

Now to hopefully get wave 2 and complete the GOTG Vol 2 team later on.

Titus

Like Phlish, Titus was once a member of the Nova Corps’ black ops branch, the Supernovas. He later gets ambushed by the Chitauri, and loses an eye and an arm. He serves the Chitauri for years and becomes the first villain Sam Alexander (as Nova) ever faced.

Titus is decently sized for a BAF.
