Marvel Legends Hallow’s Eve
Janine Goode (real name Elizabeth Tyne) is Ben Reilly’s girlfriend. Choosing to stick to Ben no matter what path he takes, she is endowed with magic by the finger of the limbo demon, S’ym. She then gains the ability to create masks she can wear and gain the form and powers of whatever character that mask is based on.
She comes with a shoulder bag to store all of the masks she created beforehand.
While in the comics, she has created over a dozen masks, the Marvel Legends figure only comes with two masks. Booo…
She’s been shown to have masks of Frankenstein’s monster, the Mummy, the Werewolf, an insect mask, plus a witch mask (where she gains the ability to conjure real magic spells). She also has masks that allow her to impersonate Hollywood celebs, police officers. She even has masks based on Superheroes, like Captain America, Hulk and even Spidey himself! All allowing her to copy their form and powers.
Her Dracula mask stays on well enough.
She also comes with a devil mask.
Unfortunately, the devil mask does NOT want to stay on, it just keeps falling off her face.
With her beloved Ben Reilly, a.k.a. Chasm.
Overall, pretty OK, I guess. I’m actually happy Ben Reilly has someone in his life that’s this devoted to him (more than I can say about current Peter Parker in the comics). So I am glad to have Janine to partner up with Chasm. The whole superpower thing she’s got going is a bit silly, but then again, the whole concept of her partner, Chasm, is also pretty way out there.
I do wish the duo eventually come back to the side of angels and start working as a hero team, as opposed to being some weird “Bonnie and Clyde” anti-hero couple.
