As usual, this Haslab package is quite big. It spans 28 x 15 x 6.5 inches in dimension.

Dr. Henry Pym is regarded as one of Earth-616’s smartest scientists. An expert in multiple scientific fields including robotics, physics and entomology, “Hank” also discovers what he calls “Pym Particles”, subatomic particles that can increase or decrease the mass of everything it comes into contact with. Originally using the Pym Particles to shrink into his “Ant Man” identity, Hank eventually learns to increase his size as well and becomes Giant-Man. He and his wife, the Wasp, soon become founding members of the Avengers.

Giant-man features a LOT of articulation in its hands. I love the execution of the thumb joints the most. The downside is, they’re semi-ratcheted, so be careful when folding each digit as there will be some resistance.

I’m glad Hasbro went with a lot of textured detailing for this guy, it really stands out when you have him in hand.

Giant-man stands roughly 24 inches tall. By comparison, the original Toybiz Build-A-Figure stands inches 14 tall I believe.

I gotta admit, the use of clear parts for his eyeballs really stands out. Unfortunately, there seems to be some QC issues with the execution, as the eyes usually don’t line up right. This seems to be an issue with all Haslab-released Giant-men. Sigh… Good grief.

The antennae and face parts can be removed and swapped around with the alternate sets.

Removing the head is a cinch thanks to this simple, yet effective neck joint design.

Angry Giant-man

I actually find the “happy” face to be somewhat creepy for some reason.

Lastly, the set comes with the alternate “Marvel Zombies” face parts. I’m not quite sure what Haslab was going for here, since the only other Zombies in the ML line hail from the “What If…?” subline, which is set in the MCU. What were we supposed to do with this guy as a zombie?

Chances are, I’ll probably leave Giant-man with his “serious” face on. Since it’s the best one IMHO.

Overall, barely decent. Really though, it should’ve given folks more bang for the buck. It hardly comes with anything and what is there is somewhat underwhelming in terms of execution. At the very least, Hasbro should have included more optional eyes that are looking in different directions for this set. I also really think they should’ve at least included some variation of Wasp with this set just to complete the duo. Heck. even a standard 6” Hank Pym would’ve been a welcome accessory instead of this somewhat empty-looking figure.

The price is also a bit of a downer, I understand they were trying to match it up against the old Toybiz-era figure’s current after-market prices, but I think they should’ve offered this set at a more affordable price, especially if they were going to undercut the accessories and/or the value for the unlockable tiers by this much. Probably the least “bang for the buck” Haslab release for me thus far.
