Marvel Legends Moonstone
Karla Sofen is a former psychologist who treated the original Marvel villain, Moonstone (Llyod Bloch), after tricking Bloch into relinquishing the Kree gravity stone, she takes up the mantle of Moonstone and becomes one of the Marvel Universe’s most powerful villainesses.
With the extraterrestrial stone bonded to her nervous system, Moonstone gains super speed, strength, is able to fly, phase through solid matter, as well as project energy beams from her hands. She is even able to recover from tremendous damage and even heal from a broken neck.
Apart from her powers, Karla is also able to manipulate and trick others thanks to her background in psychology and psychiatry.
Karla is later given the mantle of Ms. Marvel after Norman Osborn forms his own Avengers team.
It’s a shame the set gives us nothing to work with here, just an extra pair of hands. Sigh..
The only winning piece for this set would have to be the nice face sculpt. Unfortunately, my copy comes with some paint bleeds from her mask. Dang…
Overall, pretty meh. Great head sculpt, but the set comes with nothing unique for the character. I had originally given this figure a pass, as I already have the one from the Thunderbolts 2013 SDCC boxset. I only decided to grab this figure after it went on clearance, as the prices were too good to pass up. This set was no way worth the original full SRP.
