Marvel Legends Punisher & Bushwacker

Punisher

A former military veteran, Frank Castle’s family was killed as collateral damage during a mob hit. Since then, he has sworn vengeance on all criminals. Becoming the vigilante known as the Punisher, he uses his military expertise to dispense lethal justice on those who would hurt the innocent.

I’m not sure if the damage to his chest symbol is intentional or not?

The headsculpt on Frank is pretty darn amazing!

The body features the first time we’re getting the Punisher with pinless joints.

Naturally, the Punisher comes with a wide array of military hardware. His trusty sidearm for starters.

Next up, Frank comes with an Uzi.

For dual-wielding purposes, the Punisher comes with a sub-machine gun.

For added variety, the set also comes with a “yelling” headsculpt of ol’ Frank Castle.

I really love this headsculpt! It makes Frank look like the seriously deranged, obsessive psycho that he is.

For heavier firepower, the set also provides the Punisher an M203 rifle, complete with grenade launcher

Last, but not least, the Punisher comes with a hand grenade for more blasting fun! Complete with blast effects, too!

Lol… I can imagine this head being used as a very angry Bruce Wayne (Batman).

Bushwacker

Carl Burbank was formerly a priest who became an agent for the C.I.A. After going rogue, he eventually becomes a contract killer who works for New York City’s crime lords. Originally a Daredevil villain, he has crossed paths with the likes of Punisher and Wolverine.

While Carl looks human, his body is actually coated in a unique flesh-like substance that can immediately seal his wounds and make him resistant to gunfire.

Bushwacker is also a mutant, being able to rapidly heal and regenerate from damaged sustained in combat.

Bushwacker’s face is permanently scarred after his first encounter against Wolverine and Daredevil.

Thanks to being bionically modified by the C.I.A., Bushwacker’s arms can morph into various types of weapons, including a rifle, handgun, assault rifle, buzzsaw, and a flamethrower.

Bushwacker has also been seen to consume ammunition and gasoline for his weapon.

Alternate pistol hand.

Too bad we don’t get the chainsaw as a part of his weapons set.

Overall, a pretty good set. The headsculpts for Frank are amazing and is easily the best part for this set. The weapons are good, too, but I can’t help but wish Hasbro could’ve give us more guns for our favorite gun-toting vigilante. A shotgun would’ve been a nice addition, too, since he already has the shells for it on his webgear. Oh, yeah, unlike the G.i. Joe Classified guns, these don’t feature removable magazines. Sheesh.

As for Bushwacker, he’snot too shabby either. I’m not really familiar with the character prior to getting this set, but I figured it was good to add another villain to the Punisher’s rogue’s gallery. The figure itself is pretty decently large and imposing.

I missed out on this set when it first came out, since the Marvel Legends line was cranking out way too much stuff all at once. Thankfully, Hasbro decided to do a reissue run for this two-pack. This set was a released as a Fan-Channel exclusive. So it never really made it at mass retail, except at specialty stores.
