Marvel Legends No Way Home Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man

Following the events of Spider-man: No Way Home, Ned Leeds accidentally summons a Peter Parker from another dimension when their Universe’s Peter goes missing.

The figure is generally a reuse of the buck that came in the No Way Home 3-pack, minus the web accessories and some of the extra hands.

The Spidey figures in this wave all feature new mid-torso hinge joints, as well as a diaphragm joint.

Butterfly shoulder joints, nice!

Pinless knees and elbows.

The figure uses Hasbro’s “drop down hips” design to give more range of poseability.

I can’t say I’m a fan of how Hasbro designed the boots on this figure though. They look odd due to the edges sticking out like cuffs.

The likeness for the unmasked head is decent. It does seem like Hasbro went for the younger look for actor Tobey Maguire, as he appeared in the original Spider-man movie trilogy, as opposed to how much older he actually looks in No Way Home.

I used a third-party display stand to get some more posing mileage for the figure.

Marvel Legends No Way Home The Amazing Spider-man

Another variant of Peter Parker accidentally summoned by Ned Leeds, the Amazing Spider-man helps universe-199999’s Spider-man in stopping villains from their respective rogues galleries. He’s called “Peter three” to avoid confusion when referring to the Peter Parkers in the movie.

Like the “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man”, the figure is also a reuse of the buck that came in the No Way Home 3-pack, minus the web effects accessories and some of the hands.

The likeness for actor Andrew Garfield is spot on! It’s a definite upgrade from the original Amazing Spider-man unmasked figure headsculpt from 2012.

Not much comes with this set though, apart from the unmasked head and extra hands.

Again, using the same third-party stand to get some fun poses with the figure.

Admittedly, I’ve always loved the Amazing Spider-man suit. It looked the most classic compared to the rest, plus I’ve always thought of Andrew Garfield as the best Peter Parker since he resembled the comic character more than the other multiverse variants.

Marvel Legends No Way Home Spider-man (Final Suit)

Based on Spidey’s new costume in the final moments of No Way Home, this outfit for Spider-man finally gives us his “classic comics” look, without all the high-tech trappings that we’ve gotten over the years since MCU debut, which were all provided by Tony Stark.

Admittedly, the blues on this figure do seem darker than the lighter “sky blue” shade we got in the final scene of No Way Home’s “Final Swing” and I’m perfectly fine with that.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the tiny spider logo on his costume. Both for the front and back. I think the old Tobey Maguire spider logo looks the best.

Do note that there have been issues with joint breakages with some of the figures in this wave, particularly with the drop-down joints. So be careful when lifting the legs forward, especially with this “final swing” one. I could see the joint almost twisting instead of allowing the leg to rotate. I’m not sure if this is a design flaw or an issue with factory QC, maybe both?

The unmasked head is a reuse of the previous Peter Parker head from the Ned Leeds 2-pack. It’s definitely still the best one so far and really captures the look of actor Tom Holland.

Like the rest of the figures in this wave, he doesn’t come with any real accessories apart from extra hands (he has the most hands compared to the other Spideys in the wave). Hasbro could’ve at least included a webline accessory for this guy, since it very well could be the “the final swing” we’ll ever possibly get with Spider-man in the MCU (Spider-man was “on loan” to Disney from Sony, who owns the rights to the character).

At least it comes with a complete pair of “crawling” hands, unlike the other Spideys in the wave.

My Peter senses are tingling!

I opted not to go crazy with posing this figure since I wasn’t sure if the drop-down joints could handle the torque without breaking. It’s annoying that we have to watch out for that…

Overall, a couple of really good figures that greatly capture the look of the three cinematic Spider-men.

They could’ve been solid releases, if Hasbro didn’t ruin them by offering the 3-pack first without the heads first, and then roll out single releases WITH the heads. It totally feels like a pre-planned rip-off. It also sucks that we don’t get any real accessories like web effects parts with any of the figures in this set. Sigh… Hasbro gonna Hasbro, I guess.

I didn’t bother getting the rest of the wave since Sandman looks weirdly “nekkid” and MCU MJ isn’t my cup of tea. I might get MCU Matt Murdock later on if he ever goes on sale or something, but for now I’m happy with just these three figures.
