Hailing from Earth-8315, where Peter Parker has given up his code of “no killing”, Spider-man now works with Wolverine for SHIELD’s black ops division, taking out dangerous threats permanently to better protect the world.
The figure reuses parts from the newer Spider-man body, lacking a waist joint. Supposedly, this costume was inspired by an unused Alex Ross designed costume for 2002’s Spider-man movie.

In this timeline, Peter and Wolverine become best friends, so much so, that Peter begins to come around to Logan’s way of thinking and starts killing targets. His web shooters now incorporate “Web Guns” as well, capable of firing bullets with lethal accuracy. The set comes with “firing effects parts” that can be pegged into Spidey’s pointing hands to recreate the time Spidey blew a villain’s brains out in “What If Spider-man and Wolverine #1” back in Jan 2008.
Aside from his darker costume, this version of the web-slinger also no longer does quips and is always serious when in combat now. A far cry from his “friendly neighborhood Spidey” days. His webs are also colored black now for some reason as well. Maybe Peter started adding food coloring to his mix? Lol..
Aside from his “gun-shooting” hands, the set comes with web-shooting hands as well.

Overall, a pretty decent release. While I never really enjoyed this particular “What If…?” take on Spidey in the comics, he did appear in the Spider-verse sagas. This was actually released more than a year back and I finally decided to track it down since it’s become somewhat hard to find for some reason.
