Marvel Legends The Fallen One (Heralds of Galactus 2-pack)
A former unnamed Herald of Galactus, The Fallen One only appeared briefly in the Marvel Comics Annihilation saga. Presumably powerful and imbued with Cosmic power (since he was once a Herald of Galactus), he was not given much backstory was just around long enough to be killed in order to highlight the severity of the threat the main heroes of the story faced. He is never shown again in any other Marvel story.
As this is an older release, the body design was still using the pinned joints.
His “hair” has a lot of glitter for added visual effect.
Set comes with an alternate pair of gripping hands, but they serve no purpose, as he has no accessories to grab.
At least he comes with some energy effects parts that we’ve seen plenty of times before. I guess better than nothing.
Overall, not really that impressive. The only winning point is headsculpt and the inclusion of glitter for his hair, at least it makes him look a bit interesting.
Accessories-wise, if it weren’t for the effects parts, then this guy would’ve been a total let down. At least he’s not the worst Marvel Legends figure around, I reckon (Hmm.. I’ll have to check out what’s the worst ML figure some day). It’s actually somewhat surprising Hasbro even released this guy, seeing as he had no real purpose to exist, other than to show up and get killed, as Marvel couldn’t kill any of the other established Heralds. It’s actually part of the reason why I originally passed on this figure.
The Fallen One was released along with the reissued Build-A-Figure Terrax back in 2022 (it’s 2026 as I’m writing this) as a part of the “Heralds of Galactus” 2-pack.
A big shout out to my good buddy, Nick, who gave me his copy of this character (he just wanted the Terrax figure). Thanks, man! Now my Heralds of Galactus are complete!
