Even the toughest X-man around needs to take a break once in a while, Wolverine likes to dress in his classic Canadian civies when he goes to town to chill out after a long day.
Lol… I can’t imagine what Wolverine would be like if he really did speak with a Canadian accent in the X-men 90s series, like he did in that one shot animated movie based on the arcade game from the 80s.
Aside from drinking at bars, Logan’s favorite pastime is playing cards. The set comes with a couple of cards for him to hold
Yep… royal flush!
Of course, Wolverine wouldn’t be complete without a set of claw-popped fists for action.
Jubilee
Originally the team’s rookie, Jubilation Lee is now more experienced and seasoned after sharing so many adventures with the X-men over the years.
I gotta say, I love the shiny new raincoat Hasbro decided to go with for her.
Too bad her shades can’t be pulled down to cover her eyes.
‘Coz she’s still a teen (I think?), she can still get away with drinking soda and looking “cool” at the mall.
Surprisingly, Hasbro actually spent for tooling for new effects parts for her! Whoa!
After Cable, I think she’s the second-best figure in the wave, thanks to the new tooling and the new effects pieces.
Morph
Previously thought perished after a Sentinel attack in the very first episode of the X-men back in the 90s, Morph is brought back to life thanks to Mister Sinister. After overcoming Sinister’s twisted programing, Kevin Sydney ’s now back on the team roster.
I’m glad Hasbro decided to re-release this guy with a new body. It looks really spot on to the animation models.
I also really like how they gave him a smirking face to match his c0cky personality.
For accessories he comes with his “human” head. Though his neck is still white.
Lol… I don’t remember Morph looking this handsome (or young) in the classic cartoons. Then again, he can change his appearance, so why not make yourself look younger?
For fun, he also comes with a Henry Gyrich head.
Since I highly doubt we’ll be getting this guy again in the Marvel Legends line, I guess it’s good they gave us this head for fans to have him in the Marvel Legends line, we just need put the head on a civilian body (good thing I bought a couple of spare MCU Mobius figures when it went on clearance.

At least we now have the government liaison for mutants in the Marvel Legends line… kinda.
Emma Frost
A former member of the villainous Hellfire Club, Emma Frost is a powerful mutant telepath able to go head-to-head with the likes of Professor X and Jean Grey. She is also now on the leading council for the fledging mutant country of Genosha.
Really very nice sculpt work on this figure.
Her heels can make her a bit difficult to stand, particularly due to the heavy cape on her back.
Thankfully, the cape is sturdy enough to hold the weight of the figure when posed crouched.
She comes with an alternate head featuring “wind-swept hair”.
Taking off her cape makes her much easier to pose.
But somehow, she doesn’t seem quite as iconic without her cape on.
Cable
Nathan Christopher Charles Summers is a time-traveler from the future. The son of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Madelyne Prior (the clone of Jean Grey), Cable has travelled back in time on multiple occasions, often to save his future from the menace of the evil mutant, Apocalypse.
Shortly after his birth, he is infected with a techno-organic virus. He has battled this affliction all his life. He has to constantly dedicate a portion of his telekinetic power to keep the infection in check otherwise it would ravage his body. It has already spread throughout his entire left arm.
Lol.. yep, large shoulder pads and lots and lots of pouches.
Hmm.. seeing this cut for the back portion of his straps looks odd.
Aside from his telekinetic powers, Cable usually shows up packing lots of guns.
Effects parts for his gun are included with this set.
Naturally, Cable comes with a big freaking gun, too!
Impressively, the big gun comes with its own effects part, too!
Dual wield!
Hands down, the best figure in the wave! I’m really surprised they gave him so many accessories. I wish all Marvel Legends figures came with this much gear all the time.
Sunspot
Roberto “Bobby” da Costa has the unique mutant ability to absorb and channel solar energy into physical strength. When his powers are activated, Sunspot turns into a being of solid black solar energy. Coming from a life of wealth and privilege, Roberto is at first unwilling to accept that he is a mutant. He eventually comes to terms with his powers thanks to the help of Jubilee.
The head sculpt for Roberto is pretty good.
While the set doesn’t come with an alternate “powers activated” head for Roberto, it does come with effects parts to showcase his powers.
Since Jubilee is a bit more experienced now, she takes on the role of showing Sunspot the ropes when it comes to being an X-man.

I’m really impressed with this wave. Hasbro really knocked it out of the park with a lot of the figures here. I hope we get more X-men ’97 figures down the road.
