McFarlane Batman Rebirth Batmobile

The front section of the car is bagged upside down on the outer tray.

The front section of the Batmobile comes detached. It can be easily popped on and off of the toy. I’m guessing this might have been a concept for electronics for the headlights or something, but was dropped mid-design? At least folks can customize this if they choose to.

Based on Batman’s newest Batmobile during the DC Rebirth rebranding way back in 2016 (practically 10 years ago). The Rebirth version of Batman’s iconic vehicle is designed to be a high-speed pursuit vehicle, focusing more on stealth and speed over armor and firepower.

The Rebirth Batmobile was also technically the first Batmobile McFarlane ever released. Back in the line’s infancy, it was a small “Collect-to-Build” unit comprised of three pieces that came packed in with Nightwing, Batgirl and The Batman Who Laughs.

The rear section of the car is very reminiscent of Batman The Animated Series’ Batmobile for me.

The hood ornament is pretty cool. But I do wish it had some color accents for the engine. It’s all just black.

Pressing down on this button pops the vehicle canopy.

Dashboard details. Lol.. I love how the steering wheel has the Bat emblem.

With Rebirth Batman inside.

Overall, pretty decent. Not bad, but not really great. It’s just another Batmobile added to the collection. Like most of the Batmobiles in the toyline, the vehicle is pretty basic, with no real gimmicks nor electronics. Which is too bad, as for a time it started to look like lights and sounds were going to be a staple in this subline, but alas. Darn..
Personally, I do wish McFarlane went with a different choice for their comic-based Batmobile. They could’ve made the Norm Breyfogle Batmobile, which was THE iconic Batmobile of the 1990s, but, nope, they went with the less popular and rarely seen Rebirth Batmobile instead. I really would’ve loved to see the Breyfogle Batmobile done for this line.
