Megahouse Variable Action Hi-Spec Rahxephon

Wow… this is the manual?

Dormant mode (when Ayato Kamina isn’t inside)

Activated mode

Cutter

Requires removing the default wrist cover and replacing it with the Cutter one.

Arrow of Light

Arrow easily clips onto the fingers.

Voice Attack (Howling Face)

Display stand

TERRA is an acronym for “Tereno Empireo Rapidmova Reakcii Armeo,” which is Esperanto for “Earth Empire Rapid Response Army”.

Megahouse included a “Visor Face” accessory, I just can’t remember where this one came out in the show, anyone know?

With the Soul of Chogokin Reideen

Weigh in

Reideen – 251 Grams
Rahxephon -203 Grams

Rahxephon “borrowed” several elements from Reideen the Brave, including the Fade-In, the arrow attack and the voice attack.

I could be wrong but I don’t think we ever got a proper Reideen and Rahxephon combo attack in the SRW games?

The Good

-Rahxephon roughly stands 8” tall and weighs 203 Grams.

-Diecast parts include
–Whole Legs
–Feet

-Optional face plates (Normal, Awakened, Visor Face, Howling Face)

-Arrow of Light clips on very well to the proper hand. Better than SOC Reideen does on his.

-Magnetic lock for the window box cover (classy!)

The Bad
-Plugging in the wings is a bit tricky, not too difficult but overall, I would’ve preferred a swappable head instead.

-Some very minor paint chipping on mine in the feet area coming into contact with the leg/ankle armor. I guess it can’t be helped.

-Very, very floppy groin joints. The legs just flop around when you lean the toy sideways. Makes some advanced poses risky to do.

The Ugly

Gold plastic syndrome?

Almost all of the joints are made from this material.

I’m not 100% certain but I’ve had very bad experiences with this type of plastic, they tend to brittle very quickly over time to point of disintegrating with the slightest touch. If you’ve ever owned a Transformers Generation 2 Aerialbot Slingshot, you’ll know what I’m talking about. I’m really hoping that this isn’t the case here but only time will tell.

Overall, it’s decent, but like I said, the plastic material used for the toy seems worrisome. Time will tell if it will suffer the same fate as some toys, but as far as the toy itself goes, I’m okay with it. No real complaints outside of the leg joints. Quality control is hit or miss though.
