Mirai Robo Daltanious Blu-Ray
Discotek Media releases another classic Toei Animation Studios Super Robot Anime onto Blu-Ray. Same as with Combattler V, Voltes V, Daimos, the whole 47 episodes are released onto just one Blu-ray disc. Unfortunately, it’s only in standard definition and most likely a port of the remastered Japanese Laserdiscs boxsets.
Par for the course for Discotek’s Super Robot Anime releases, the menu is pretty simple, no dynamic animations. You do get the theme song playing in the background though.
The entire 47-episode run is here, in Japanese Audio with English subtitles, but that’s about it. We do not get any special features, not even textless opening and closing credits. Too bad. Still, it’s great to finally own a clear copy of this classic Super Robot series. This show was a real big hit in Italy.
