NECA TMNT 2012 Ultimate Michaelangelo
The youngest Mutant Turtle sibling, Michaelangelo is usually the most care-free of the group. Usually preferring to goof off rather than focus on his training (much to Splinter and Leonardo’s consternation), Mikey’s always had a good heart and is usually the most jovial member of the family.
As always, Michaelangelo comes with his iconic weapons, the nunchuks.
Mikey’s nunchuks can be stowed away on his belt like so.
It’s a shame NECA didn’t include an option part for the ‘chucks to be spinning, like with the Ultimate 1980s Michaelangelo.
I find it ironic that Mikey, the most chill turtle, comes with the angriest alt head of the four brothers.
For weapon variety, the set includes a kusarigama for Mikey to use, just like in the 2012 series.
Like his brethren, Mikey comes with the same accessories, namely, the Ninja Smoke Bomb, the T-Phone and the pizza slice.
He also comes with the alternate pair of “chill” hands we got with Leonardo, only his look more natural to him.
Instead of “Cowabunga!”, Mikey’s new catchphrase for the 2012 series is “Booyakasha!”. He was also voiced by Greg Cipes, who voiced Beast Boy on the Teen Titans animated series.
Lastly, Mikey comes with Ice Cream Kitty, a feline that had the unfortunate luck to come across ice cream and mutagen and subsequently mutated into something in between.
Michaelangelo eventually adopts the creature as a pet and keeps it in the freezer compartment of Turtle’s refrigerator in the Lair.
Overall, very cool! I love the way the nunchucks were done with this figure, The use of actual metal chains, the option to remove the tips of the chains, the accessories, all very nicely done!
