S.H. Figuarts Armored All Might
Designed by All Might with help from Melissa Shield, this robotic suit of armor allows a frail, depowered Toshinori Yagi (aka All Might) to fight All For One toe-to-toe one last time. The suit replicates all the powers and abilities of each student from Class 1-A.
The set comes with alternate expressions for All Might
As usually, All Might smiles and laughs in the face of adversity, in order to calm himself and those he’s trying to save, even when he no longer has his “One For All” powers.
Using himself as a target to give Deku and the heroes more time to stop Tomura Shigaraki, All Might draws All For One’s attention by goading the latter into one final battle.
Armored All Might’s abilities
-Red Riot – copying his Hardening Quirk, Hercules (All Might’s high tech car) launches flying armored plating that surrounds All Might, serving as an extra outer shield of armor.
-Blackwhip – copying one of the late One For All hero’s abilities, the armor launches binding cables.
-Chargebolt – the armor can discharge and conduct large amounts of electricity through the Blackwhip cables.
-Cellophane – the Blackwhip cables can be rapidly retracted to pull in opponents before they can react.
-Sugarman – a mini armored rocket thruster is launched from Hercules and attaches to one of All Might’s legs, giving it additional thrust and protection to help him execute Shoot Style Smash.
-Tsukuyomi – Armored All Might’s cape functions similar to the Class 1-A hero’s Dark Shadow, forming a protective wrapping around All Might when needed.
-Pinky – Hercules fires a rocket syringe filled with powerful acid injected directly into All For One to massive damage to him from the inside.
-Uravity and Ingenium – the thrusters located on the armor’s legs and back allow for All Might to move with insane speed and mobility when in combat.
-Tailman – the suit instantly generates a mechanical tail in order to protect All Might from surprise rear-sided attacks.
-Tentacole – similarly to Tailman, the suit generates four mechanical tentacle arms to grab opponents or anything in proximity to All Might.
-Froppy Suction Pads – allows All Might to cling to walls similar to the Frog Quirk hero.
-Shoto – cannons mounted on the suit’s forearms can fire ice beams.
-Anima – Hercules can launch bird-like drones to help with support tasks while All Might is in battle (such as connecting power cables to his flying motorcycle).
-Can’t Stop Twinkling – All Might’s flying motorcycle can fire a powerful laser beam for a short period of time.
-Invisible Girl – the suit is covered in a reflective resin material, similar to Invisible Girl’s powers, in order to protect All Might from the intense heat generated by the Can’t Stop Twinkling laser blast.
-Earphone Jack – a powerful sonic wave can be generated from the suit’s chest to do massive damage to All For One.
-Creati – sections of the armor (Morphing Armor) can be ejected and repurposed into anything All Might needs it to be on the spot.
-Grape Juice – Morphing Armor parts can be modified to duplicate sticky trapping balls similar to Grape Juice’s quirk.
-Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight – Used as a last resort, the suit’s forearms carry hidden powerful explosives that can be detonated, if needed. All Might originally intended to use these and sacrifice himself to save everyone but was stopped by All For One.
To properly recreate the Blackwhip cables, you will have to transfer parts of the forearm armor to the cable set before attaching the device.
The Blackwhip wires are also bendy, cool!
Lastly, the set comes with a busted-up helmet for the suit, allowing us to see half of Toshinori’s bloodied, but brave face. Awesome!
Overall, I love it! In the series, All Might to getting his armor in order to fight All For One was one of the surprise high points of the final battle arc. It’s really cool to see him all armored up like Batman and take on his arch nemesis for the final showdown!
Admittedly, I do wish we had gotten more weapons for this set though, as in both the Manga and Anime, All Might had a lot of weapons launched from his car, Hercules, in order to fight an uber powerful All For One. Maybe we’ll get Hercules down the road…?
