S.H. Figuarts Krillin -Battle Clothes-

Interesting to note, the newer S.H. Figuarts sets now no longer have any inserts inside, everything is printed directly on the inside of the box, even the instructions. Pretty cool innovation.

Following the Z Warrior’s battles with the Ginyu Force on Planet Namek, Vegeta decides to give Gohan and Krillin armor taken from Frieza’s army to give them a better fighting chance against the battles to come.

Krillin comes with various facial expressions this time around. (lol… none of them happy).

Replacing his head is a cinch. No “ball joint” popping here.

Krillin comes with an optional smaller chest plate for his armor, so you can do some poses better.

It’s a shame we don’t get any effects parts with this set. I was hoping for at least a Destructo Disc for Krillin to use. We don’t even get any “Kamehameha” hands.

At least we can recreate his “Solar Flare” pose.

Krillin comes with the One-Star Namekian Dragon Ball (luminous version).

For added value, Bandai included swappable “battle damaged” parts for Krillin’s battle armor based on its appearance from when Frieza impaled poor Krillin on his horns when the latter morphed into his second form.

Lastly, the set comes with a “yelling Krillin” head, so you can recreate that scene where Frieza blew him up and made Goku go Super Saiyan for the first time.

With “Battle Clothes” Gohan.

Overall, like the “Battle Clothes” Gohan, this is a pretty decent set. I actually got this so he can pair up with the version of Gohan and maybe Planet Namek Bulma, but in retrospect, I think I could’ve actually passed up on this since I eventually decided to skip the Second Form Frieza figure. I don’t know, maybe later on if I spot that Frieza I might change my mind, we’ll see.
