S.H Figuarts Rorounin Kenshin – Aoshi Shinomori
The set comes with optional “bloodied” face parts for S.H. Figuarts Kenshin Himura.
The young leader of the Oniwabanshū, a gang of highly elite mercenaries, Aoshi Shinomori becomes obsessed with defeating the legendary Hitokiri Batousai in order to claim the title of “the strongest” for his fallen kinsmen who died protecting him.
The set features optional “pocket” parts for Aoshi, simply swap them out for you to pose Aoshi with his hands in his pockets.
For the left pocket, there’s a socket for you to plug in Aoshi’s scabbard.
Aoshi’s long scabbard actually holds two different swords at its ends.
One of the strongest and most tactical fighters in the Ruroni Kenshin series, Aoshi’s main weapon is a short-sword called a Kodachi.
Originally, Aoshi fights using just one Kodachi, but after his defeat at the hands of Kenshin, he eventually starts using two Kodachis and adopts the Kodachi Kodachi Nitō Ryū dual-wielding fighting sword style.
The back of Aoshi’s coat features some hinges, so he can pull off some really cool poses.

Overall, a pretty good release. Aoshi was always one of the cooler anti-heroes in Rurouni Kenshin (certainly more charming than Saito or Sanosuke, lol) as well as being one of Kenshin’s most deadliest adversaries. Adding him into the collection to pair up against Kenshin is a no-brainer.
